5 Steps To Write A Research Paper In A Weekend(David Stuckler)
- Get everything in a place: Start writing after preparing your findings, your figures and your tables
- Write the paper from inside out: Start writing the paper from Methods section. It is the easiest section to write. Move into results. Describe in order your tables, figures and findings. This will prevent you getting stuck at introduction and related works sections.
- Write the conclusion: After writing Methods and Results sections, write the Conclusion part. In Conclusion part, recapitulate your findings(first paragraph), List your limitations(second paragraph), talk about implications for future research, policy and intervention(third paragraph).
- Write Introduction: After setting Conclusion, move to the Introduction part. In Introduction section, talk about why it is important and why should anyone care about it(first part), cite the existing studies and explain what is missing in the existing studies(second part), explain the value of your paper and what gaps are your paper filling(third part).
- Don’t be a perfectionist.
